I'd like to share a couple pieces of my Pyrex collection from the lines Early American and Harvest Home.
| Top: Early American Bottom: Autumn Harvest |
The Early American Pyrex line features the colours brown, gold and white. The pictures depicted on the side of the mixing bowls include a lot of early American traditions including a weathervane, oil lamps, eagles and coffee grinders. I love this pattern and I would really like to add one of the gold on brown mixing bowls to my collection. The Early American collection often gets confused with the Americana collection which has solid pattern mixing bowls with white rims. Though they are not within the same line, they would coordinate nicely together. The Early American mixing bowl I purchased was found on my local Kijiji boards for a very reasonable price. The bowl was in perfect condition, and I was immediately in love with the pattern as soon as I saw it.
The second bowl I purchased was from the Pyrex Autumn Harvest line, I found it at a local thrift store. It was an amazing deal, especially considering the lid was included in the price. Once again the bowl was in very good condition, I really lucked out with the purchase. I love the deep rich colours of the Cinderella mixing bowls mixed with the lovely beige of the wheat stalks.
I know I don't need anymore Pyrex, I would like to complete the Early American mixing bowl set.
Happy scavenging!
