Fred Press Vintage

Hello Friends!

Today's blog post comes courtesy of the wonderful Fred Press. He was not only known for designing amazing retro housewares, but also for manufacturing beautiful sculptures.

I love this cute Dachshund sculpture, and the Cancer the Crab sculpture that was a part of his Zodiac collection.

The only piece of Fred Press that I have in my collection is a wonderful little cheese plate that I purchased at a local thrift shop.

The price was incredibly reasonable, and the cheese plate was in fairly good condition. There is just one blemish across the centre of the medallion - which comes with normal love of vintage items. From what I've seen on eBay and Etsy, there is also a matching carafe which would look amazing in my collection!

Though I do not eat fish, I am a huge fan of the fish casserole dish he designed, as well as the Fire King rose bowl he designed while working for Anchor Hocking.

I am seriously contemplating snapping up the atomic cheese plate very soon!

Happy scavenging!
